Using a camcorder with an IEEE-1394 interface, DualMapper works with DV tapes on which GPS location data has been encoded with ShotMapper. DualMapper also works with digital video files having the "avi" format.

DualMapper displays the video picture and the corresponding map location side by side on the computer monitor. The map scale is user selectable. The map database uses Microsoft MapPoint.
