Using a camcorder with an IEEE-1394 interface, OverlayMapper works with DV tapes on which GPS location data has been encoded with ShotMapper. OverlayMapper also works with digital video files having the "avi" format.

OverlayMapper displays the latitude, longitude, and other GPS information as an overlay on the video picture. The information displayed and the position of the overlay are user selectable.
