Have you ever returned from shooting your video, looked at the results, and wondered

"Just where was that shot?"

  • Perhaps you are backpacker in a wilderness area shooting a spectacular sight “in the middle of nowhere.”
  • Perhaps you are a botonist documenting the presence of a rare alpine flower in a forest clearing.
  • Perhaps you are making a promotional video of the great fishing along a particular river.
  • Perhaps you are a detective investigating a traffic accident.

ShotMapper answers the question

ShotMapper records the shooting location permanently on an audio channel of the your DV tape. If you have a GPS receiver with a standard NMEA serial data output and a DV camcorder with an external microphone input, the ShotMapper interface provides the connection between GPS and camcorder to continuously record GPS position while shooting.

After the tape has been recorded, the ShotMapper software will convert the recorded information to display the shooting location and track on your third-party mapping software.
