ShotMapper Recording Operation



The ShotMapper converter converts NMEA-format GPS data into an audio signal that is then sent to the plug assembly inserted into the camcorder's external microphone input and recorded on one of the audio channels of the video.  A microphone attached to the plug assemply records normal audio on the other channel of the usual stereo pair.

If the camcorder has  audio line inputs, the ShotMapper converter may be connected to a line input, using a standard audio cable, instead of using  the plug assembly and the external microphone input.

The GPS data is permanently recorded with the video
