For some formats, encoding can vary within the same file type (extension) so compatibility with a particular camcorder  is not guaranteed.  If the format is not compatible, the audio containing the GPS data can be sent to the ShotMapper software via the computer’s  audio input.

1.0 GHz minimum processor speed
1 GB RAM (2 GB recommended)

10 MB disk space (additional space required for video files)
Audio input (if using sound card for input
)
CD-ROM drive (for installation)

  • GPS

Serial output,  4800 baud, > ±5 V
NMEA 0183 protocol

  • Camcorder

External microphone (plug-in power* ) or audio line input


*If microphone input does not have plug-in power, GPS data will be recorded without audio.
